Margaret has visited both Edith M. Decker Elementary School and the Mount Arlington Public School on two different occasions (2013 and 2016) to share both of her children’s books. During her visits she addressed students from First through Fifth grade. Margaret adapted her presentation from simply reading the book, complimented with a PowerPoint of the illustrations, to the younger students and fielding their questions to sharing her program, “How a Book Comes to Life” with the oldest students. Margaret discussed the SAR approach to problem solving and asked for student examples of when they experienced being Pawsitive. Even the older students had fun searching for the hidden pawprints on the illustrated pages. Margaret donated signed copies for the school library and handed out Cat Cavalry bookmarks.
